Friends of Lorine Niedecker Events

The Friends of Lorine Niedecker is proud to host several events each year.

North Central is a virtual reading series providing a space to gather and hear living poets who connect in various ways to the poetry of Lorine Niedecker. The series takes its title from North Central, the third book of poems published in Niedecker’s lifetime. Readings are curated by Chuck Stebelton and Richard Meier and are held twice per year, in October and March.

Hear the Solitary Plover is a virtual reading series featuring readings by poets who have published work in the most recent issue of The Solitary Plover, the bi-annual newsletter published by the Friends of Lorine Niedecker. Hear the Solitary Plover readings are hosted on Zoom and held twice per year, in February/March and August.
